A "moderate." It's often a pejorative from the right and the left, as if the moderate is a person who can't make up their mind and is paralyzed in the middle. Well, it may be true sometimes, for some people.
For others, "moderation" is a functional, active choice based on a program, plan, or policy's track record of serviceability and groundedness. The defense of the moderate position itself becomes radical.
That's where I am. I'm a radical moderate offering tiny windows into the real, evidence-based, functional world.
